Thoughts of Circuit

I would describe the European Circuit as a rush. I had two meets in Belgium, two in Italy, two in France and one in England. I have yet to run one of my France meets in La Roche and my meet in England. My base location of rest and recovery is London. London for me was a no brainer choice due to the fact that I used to live here and have many great friends there.

EUROPE THUS FAR

Hey Everyone!

Greetings from Ligure, Italy! Today I run the 200 at 8:35pm. I have run two meets in Belgium thus far. My first meet was in Namur, Belgium and I ran the 100. My second race was in Ooredgem, Belgium where I ran the 400 and 200. My times were ok, i was a bit tiered from having just come in from a 21 hour flight from Los AngelesThere was a headwind in both and I had just flew in from the U.S a couple days before so the times were okish, by no means were they great. Today will be much better.

I wanted to thank everyone who has helped me through encoragment or donations.

Thank you again all of you for your support!

Will keep you all posted when I am able to get to a computer.

Ciao, cherio and goodbye.....for now.:)

Jim Bush So Cal USATF Championships

Hey Everyone,

I competed this past Sunday, June 5, and it went well, especially because I'm only mid-season! I ran the 100 and the 200. It is my 2nd 100m dash of the year and my 6th 200 meter dash of the year. I'm very pleased with where I'm at thus far. Last year I was off due to an achilles injury so it feels so good to be running fast again. My ending as my start could use some improvement but the middle of the race was great. I'm pretty soar today, especially my lower back and left hamstring. I ran the 100 at 4:45pm and the 200 at 6:25pm. Pre- meet prep breakfast consisted of eating 7 egg whites mixed with mushroom, lettuce and onions, tons of water, a banana, and a glass of recovery mix. I watched V-for Vendetta, visualized for about 30 min. Danced a bit in my room than got dressed and drove to the meet.
Will be running in San Diego next week.

V for Vendetta- (One of the greatest movies ever!!)
Evey Hammond: Who...who are you?

V: Who? Who is but the form following the function of what. And what I am, is a man in a mask.

Evey Hammond: I can see that.

V: Of course you can. I'm not questioning your powers of observation, I'm merely remarking on the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.

European Circuit

I'm writing with some exciting news: I'm almost there! Many of you know and if you don’t known it has been my long time dream to run in the Olympics. Fate has set London 2012 to be the year it happens as...

...I am getting in the best physical condition I have ever been in,
...... I have already PB’d (hit a personal best) in my 100, 200 and 400 meter dashes this year
.........I have a really great Olympic Development Coach Gary Cablayan (www.evosportsperformace.com)
............For the first time I have qualified for International meets that are getting me on track towards lowering my time, increasing my exposure in the track community, and putting me on the right track towards 2012.

Two weeks away from my first international meets in Europe where I will be competing against some of the most elite athletes in the world, I would like to ask for your assistance in making this dream a reality.

I'll be documenting my progress on this momentous journey over the next few months at http://runmagnoliarun.blogspot.com/ and I would like to invite you to join in my adventure.

THE CAUSE
Having raised $500 over the last 2 weeks from local friends, I have been charged with matching that with another $3,000 USD by June 30th to cover all transportation cost i.e. air fare, and train tickets along with other track related necessities. I am not used to asking for assistance for things like this, but in order to enable this trip I would like to ask you to help make this dream a reality. Whether it be $1 or $1,000, any contributions are welcome and will get me that much closer to this dream.

So for those of you
...who love the olympics...
.......love the art of running...
.........or would like to help a friend achieve a lifelong dream :)

HOW TO GET INVOLVED
It would be great if you can help out. I have set up a pay pal account that will allow you to contribute as you see fit. It is a US account, so if you are chiming in internationally, please click here to learn about the exchange rate for making transactions to the US. Regardless, all donations will be able to make the account!

Also, if you know of anyone who might be interested in donating, feel free to forward along!

This blog will chroncile my development and journey towards manifesting my dream.
Thank you, in advance for your help and support, and I look forward to updating you on our progress!

Yours truly,

Magnolia
